Lindsey O’Connor (McIntire ’03) recently had two cases registered in the Darden Case Collection, a business case collection created by the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

“To our knowledge,” said McIntire Lecturer Lucien Bass, “these are the first cases by a McIntire student to be registered at Darden and the first to carry both the Darden and McIntire logos.”

O’Connor, along with Darden’s Ethyl Corporation Professor of Business Administration Sherwood Frey and Bass, developed the two cases and a teaching note from Bass’ “Negotiating for Value” course assignment describing a personal negotiating experience in which O’Connor got a summer job as a lifeguard and leveraged her negotiating skills into an improved wage package.

The cases, “Clean Pools, Inc.—Beth West” (employer) and “Clean Pools, Inc.—Jennifer Smith” (employee), are also in the “Negotiating for Value” syllabus for fall 2003.
