All graduating McIntire student
accounts will be disabled on July 1st. All student
information on the exchange mail server, the R drive, and the
student
web server will be unavailable after this date. Students are urged
to back up any information that they would like to keep. All
computers in the main lab are equipped with CDRW drives. Information
on backing up data is available at the helpdesk.
There is no email forwarding service for your McIntire mail account.
Any mail sent to your <USERID>@COMM.VIRGINIA.EDU address after
July 1 will be returned to the sender. However, the Alumni
Association, University, and ITC offer a lifetime forwarding alias
via HoosOnline, a web community for Alumni use. For the latest
updates on HoosOnline and a more complete description of its
services, visit the

Association website
Under very special circumstances, an account extension will be
granted. These circumstances include continued employment for a
professor, attending a McIntire graduate program in the fall,
etc. If you qualify for an account extension, please contact the
postmaster@comm.virginia.edu. Extensions are not granted without
proper approval.
