Robert Daley

Robert Daley began his career as an investment banker in the corporate finance department of Alex. Brown and Sons, helping private companies raise capital from the private equity markets. His venture capital experience began in 1994 and he has invested a total of $67 million in early stage companies and generated more than $280 MM in gains for investors. He has served on the board of directors for more than 10 private companies and been on the advisory board for three venture capital funds. He was a director of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association for six years, including one year as president. He was chairman of the 2004 Three Rivers Venture Capital Fair. In 2005, he co-founded Thorley Industries to develop innovative products for established industries based on low-cost electronics. Thorley’s first two products were targeted at the juvenile product industry and were launched under the brand “4moms.” Within nine months of launch the products were carried in more than 2,220 retail locations, including Target, BabiesRus, and Amazon.com. Thorley continues to develop innovative products for the juvenile industry and other established markets.

He has a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia (1992) and graduated Beta Gamma Sigma from the M.B.A. program of the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
