Peter E. Engel

Peter Engel is Vice Chairman and Head of Investment Banking for the Western United States. He joined JPMorgan in its New York headquarters in 1988 in the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions Department. In 1994, he was asked to lead the Corporate Office Staff for a one-year assignment as Executive Assistant to the Chairman and CEO.

Relocating to San Francisco in 1995, he helped lead the significant expansion of the firm’s Investment Banking practice in the Western Region. His current responsibilities include managing key relationships, overseeing the firm’s overall business in the Western Region, and serving as a member of the North American Investment Banking Management Committee.

Mr. Engel currently serves as a Director of Crushpad Inc.; is a Trustee of the Katherine Delmar Burke School; is on the Advisory Board of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce; and recently completed a six-year term as a Director of The San Francisco Food Bank. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he holds a bachelor of science degree in the concentrations of finance and management information systems.
