Albert E. Ferrara Jr.

Albert Ferrara Jr. was named Vice President of Finance and CFO of AK Steel Nov. 25, 2003. Mr. Ferrara joined AK Steel as Director, Strategic Planning in June 2003 and was named acting CFO in September 2003. Before joining AK Steel, he was Vice President, Corporate Development for the NS Group, a tubular products producer. Before that, Mr. Ferrara had 30 years of experience with USX Corporation in a variety of managerial, financial, and operations positions, including an assignment in London with USX's Marathon Oil. He also held positions including President, Realty Development Division; Vice President, Strategic Planning; and Senior Vice President and Treasurer for U.S. Steel’s domestic and international operations.

He has served as a member of the boards of directors of the Upper St. Clair (Pennsylvania) school district, the Regional Industrial Development Corporation (Pittsburgh), and the Metropolitan Development Board (Birmingham, Ala.). He has also been active in the United Way and as a member of the advisory board of the McIntire School of Commerce.

Mr. Ferrara holds a B.S. degree in commerce, with distinction, and a Juris Doctorate, both from the University of Virginia.
