Eric H. Keshin Eric Keshin is COO of McCann
Worldgroup, a position he assumed in October 2005, and in addition is
regional director of McCann Erickson North America, a responsibility he
has held since June 2003.
As COO of McCann Worldgroup, one of the world’s largest marketing
communications companies, he works with McCann’s Regional and Discipline
leaders around the world to ensure that clients receive unparalleled
business-building solutions anywhere and everywhere they do business. As
one of four regional directors of McCann Erickson Worldwide, the world’s
largest advertising agency network, his responsibilities include
McCann’s North American agencies as well as overseeing the integration
of McCann Worldgroup’s marketing communications disciplines.
Somewhat of a rarity in the advertising business, Mr. Keshin has spent
his entire business career at McCann. He joined McCann in 1980 as the
agency’s first account management trainee, rising through the ranks. He
was named a senior vice president in 1990 and in 1995 became executive
vice president, director of account management. In 1998, he was named
COO of McCann Erickson New York and added the responsibility of general
manager the following year. He was responsible for doubling the size of
the New York agencies; has led initiatives that have brought in over $1
billion in new business; and introduced innovative global practice areas
such as TAG, McCann’s young adult marketing unit, and McCann HumanCare,
specializing in d-t-c communications.
Mr. Keshin has thrice won the agency’s highest award, the
McCann-Erickson General Manager’s Award (in 1989, 1992, and 1998), for
his contributions to both the agency’s and his clients’ businesses. In
addition, marketing programs that he developed have been awarded 20+
Effie Awards for effectiveness.
He holds a B.S. in marketing from the University of Virginia and was
named in 1980 to receive the William F. O’Dell Award in Marketing from
that institution. He is currently on the Marketing Advisory Board for
the McIntire School of Commerce.
