Edgar L. Parrish

As a First Vice President – Investments and Wealth Management Advisor, Edgar Parrish heads the Parrish Consulting Group at Merrill Lynch in Washington, D.C. He has been an Advisory Board member since 2002.

Mr. Parrish has 37 years in the financial services industry. The Group practice focus is fee-based asset management consulting for family wealth managers and their trusts, retirement plans, and nonprofit organizations. Edgar is a certified financial planner, is a certified investment management analyst (CIMA), and serves as an arbitrator for the New York Stock Exchange.

Mr. Parrish’s academic interests include issues involving modern portfolio theory, trading costs, and business ethics.

He is married to Katherine MacLachlan Parrish (Katy), and they live in Bethesda, Md. Their son, Robert, is a first-year student at the University of Virginia; their second son, Stephen, is a sophomore at the Landon School.
