Joshua D. Paulson
Josh Paulson,
Partner, P2 Capital Partners
Josh Paulson is a partner at P2 Capital
Partners, a strategic equity fund that takes a long-term private equity
approach to investing in the public markets.
Prior to P2 Capital, Mr. Paulson was a principal at Reservoir Capital
Group, a New York-based hybrid investment firm that manages
approximately $3 billion of capital and invests in both public
securities and private equity transactions. While at Reservoir Capital,
Mr. Paulson played an active role in sourcing and executing investment
opportunities in a variety of industries, including energy, power, and
financial services, and worked closely with the firm’s portfolio
companies, serving on the boards of multiple companies.
Prior to joining Reservoir Capital, Mr. Paulson was a management
consultant at McKinsey & Co., where he worked with management teams on
strategic and operational issues in the business services,
pharmaceutical, industrial, and financial services sectors. While at
McKinsey, he also co-founded a program with the Robin Hood Foundation
that enables consultants to advise pro bono organizations on their
strategic planning goals.
Mr. Paulson received an M.B.A. with high distinction from Harvard
Business School, where he was named a George F. Baker Scholar. Mr.
Paulson is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce, where he
earned a B.S. with highest honors, was awarded the School’s Beta Gamma
Sigma scholarship, and currently serves as a vice chairman of the
School’s advisory board.
