Suzanne Stanton Suzanne Stanton is the Regional
Managing Director of Resources Global Professional’s Mid-Atlantic region
and leader of the company’s Accounting and Finance Practice. As Regional
Director, Ms. Stanton is responsible for establishing market strategy,
overseeing office management, expanding geographical presence, and
developing new business opportunities within the region that includes
Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, and South
Carolina. Ms. Stanton joined the nascent Resources Global in 1997 as
Managing Director of the Washington, D.C., office—the company’s 10th
office and its first East Coast presence. During her tenure at Resources
Global, Ms. Stanton has served in lead client service roles for clients
in a variety of industries, including some of the company’s largest
clients.
As a leader of the company’s Accounting & Finance Practice, Ms. Stanton
works with other company leadership to develop, coordinate, and execute
strategy for the continued growth of the accounting and finance service
offerings of Resources Global.
Resources Global Professionals is an international professional services
firm that helps business leaders execute internal initiatives.
Originated in 1996 as part of Deloitte & Touche LLP in North America,
the company provides accounting and finance, human capital, information
management, supply chain management, internal audit/risk management, and
legal services on a project basis. Its legacy in Europe is from Ernst &
Young and in Asia Pacific from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Australia.
Today, the company is completely independent, autonomous, and publicly
traded on NASDAQ under its parent entity’s name, Resources Connection
Inc. (RECN).
Headquartered in Costa Mesa, Calif., the company operates from 80
worldwide offices. The client portfolio includes 44 of the Fortune 50
companies and more than half of the Fortune Global 100. The company is
ranked #3 on Forbes 2005 list of 100 Best Mid-Cap Stocks and has been on
Forbes 200 Best Small Companies list for the last four years, most
recently at #16.
Before joining Resources Global, Ms. Stanton spent 13 years in the audit
practice of Deloitte & Touche, where she served clients primarily in the
real estate and public sector industries. While at Deloitte & Touche,
Ms. Stanton was very active in the firm’s National Women’s Initiative,
which focused on the development, retention, and advancement of women.
For six years, she served as Co-Chair of the Mid-Atlantic Women’s
Initiative Network and subsequently on the Deloitte & Touche Advisory
Board along with seven other business and community leaders. While at
Deloitte & Touche, Ms. Stanton played an instrumental role in the
development of new and innovative programs such as an External Role
Model Program, After-Hours Networking, Flexible Work Arrangement
Luncheons, and the Summer Sabbatical Program.
Ms. Stanton was graduated from the University of Virginia in 1983 and
holds a B.S. in Commerce, Accounting concentration. She resides in
Alexandria, Va., with her husband, Doug, and two children, Jessica, 15,
and Amanda, 12.
