Ann Burris has more than 20 years of experience as a telecommunications executive, with expertise in sales management, customer service and marketing, and travel industry public and community relations. From 2005 to 2009, she worked in community relations for Holland America Line, identifying, negotiating, and managing nonprofit relationships in the South Florida market for the premier cruise line. Before that, Ms. Burris held several volunteer leadership positions in the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., area, including serving as a board member of the Seafarers’ House at Port Everglades and St. Mark’s Episcopal School; serving as chair of the Golden Compass Award Dinner for three years, achieving a net income of $250,000 annually; and serving as chair of Underwriting for two years for St. Thomas Aquinas High School, resulting in the highest ever sponsorship contribution, in excess of $205,000. Earlier in her career, Ms. Burris held positions as Vice President for Xspedius Communications, General Manager for Global Crossing, Sales District Manager for Cable & Wireless, Senior Product Manager for Concert (in London), as well as various sales, marketing, and product management positions in the telecommunications industry.

Ms. Burris holds a B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce, with concentrations in marketing and management, and has completed M.B.A. coursework from The George Washington University.
