Dale S. Lam
Class of '85
Dale Lam is the President of Strategent Financial LLC, a wealth management and financial advisory firm based in Harrisonburg, Va. Before founding Strategent in 2008, Mr. Lam held executive positions in both public and private industry. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Lam was the Vice President and CFO of ComSonics Inc., a cable TV electronics manufacturer and repair services company based in Harrisonburg, Va. Before joining ComSonics in 2001, Mr. Lam was the Vice President of Finance and CFO of WLR Foods Inc. in Broadway, Va. He began his career as an accountant at Coopers & Lybrand and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Lam is also a member of the Harrisonburg Rotary Club and the United Way of Harrisonburg and is an active member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Lam graduated from the McIntire School in 1985 with a concentration in accounting. He was inducted into the Raven Society in 1984. Mr. Lam is married to Wendy Bowers Lam, and they have three children—Heather, Andrew, and Thomas. He enjoys sporting activities, travel, and spending time with his family at Smith Mountain Lake.
