Julie Lerner Macklowe

Julie Lerner Macklowe is a Portfolio Manager in the retail/consumer sectors for Macklowe Asset Management (“MAM”), a Millennium platform fund. Before founding MAM, she was a Portfolio Manager at Sigma Capital Management, a multibillion dollar fund originally incubated by S | A | C. Julie was a Managing Director at Metropolitan Capital from January 2003 until April 2006, focusing on retail and consumer sectors. Before joining Metropolitan Capital, Mrs. Macklowe worked at JPMorgan Partners, formerly Chase Capital Partners, with more than $30 billion assets under management. From 1999 to 2001, Mrs. Macklowe worked in New York, primarily on venture capital and growth equity investments in the consumer, technology, and telecommunications industries in both the United States and Israel. From 2001 to 2002, she worked at JPMorgan Partners Asia (JPMPA), an affiliate group of $1.1 billion based in Hong Kong. At JPMPA, she worked on large-scale leverage buyout transactions in South Korea, Southeast Asia, China, Philippines, and Hong Kong. Mrs. Macklowe held internship positions at Goldman Sachs, in mergers and acquisitions (1998), and Neuberger and Berman (1997) and is a graduate of the University of Virginia, with degrees in economics, finance, and MIS (1999). She currently sits on the Advisory Board of the McIntire School of Commerce and is on the friends committees for both New Yorkers for Children and for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She and her husband, William, and daughter, Zoe, reside in New York City.
