Sarah Butler

Class of '98

Sarah Butler is a Vice President in the Office of the CIO at Goldman Sachs, a leading global investment bank, securities, and investment management firm headquartered in downtown New York City.

Ms. Butler began her career on Wall Street in 1998 as an Investment Banking Analyst at Merrill Lynch. In 2000, Ms. Butler joined Goldman Sachs, where she has spent the last 12 years in a variety of roles, including private equity investing, finance, strategic consulting, technology management, e-business, and sales and marketing.

Ms. Butler holds a B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, with a concentration in finance and management. She currently serves on the School’s Advisory Board.

She is also a board member at YES Inc. a nonprofit focused on helping student-athletes qualify for college. Ms Butler resides in Manhattan, with her husband, William, and their two children.
