Common Issues Facing Adobe Connect Users

Audio Problems

Adobe Connect 7.3 has known VOIP (voice over Internet protocol) issues that are intended to be resolved in Adobe Connect 7.5 Service Pack 1. If you are using Adobe Connect 7.3, you can circumvent the problem by performing the following steps:

1. Run the Audio Setup Wizard. Proceed through until step 5 (the final step in the wizard).

2. Ensure that Use Enhanced Audio is not selected. It is selected by default, and each user will have to run the Audio Setup Wizard in order to deselect the option.

3. If you are using a slow connection, choose DSL/Cable for your connection speed rather than LAN (the default).

 

4. Avoid video usage. If video is required, navigate to the Camera and Voice pod and ensure that High-Quality Images is not selected.

Finally, as a footnote, if you aren’t using video, Adobe Connect 7.3 does not require you to have the voice pod open.  VOIP is now always present as part of the bottom toolbar:
