Setting up the iPhone and iPod Touch

To use your iPhone or iPod Touch with your UVA (undergraduate students) or McIntire e-mail account (grad students, faculty, and staff), follow the directions below.

Undergraduate Instructions

1. Visit the iPhone section of ITC's Web site and follow all of the instructions. 

Graduate Student / Faculty / Staff Instructions

1. Visit the iPhone section of ITC's Web site and complete Step 1 and Step 2 only.
2. To configure your iPhone for use with your McIntire e-mail account, from the Home screen, tap Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then Add Account.
3. Select Microsoft Exchange.
4. Under the E-mail field, input your McIntire e-mail address (userid@comm.virginia.edu).
5. Under the Server field, input webmail.comm.virginia.edu.
6. Under the Domain field, input MCINTIRE.
7. Input your McIntire username and password (which you use to access your e-mail and log into McIntire lab computers) in the appropriate fields.
8. Under Description, write whatever you like. This is the name your iPhone will use to refer to your e-mail account.

Now you're ready to connect to your e-mail account through the iPhone/iPod Touch Mail application.
