Software Available to the McIntire Community

The McIntire School of Commerce provides numerous programs to the members of its community to facilitate the research and productivity for which the School is renowned. Faculty and staff who access to these programs should contact the Help Desk. Students who need access should visit any of the labs in Rouss & Robertson Halls.

General Office Productivity Software

All lab machines in Rouss & Robertson Halls are equipped with Office 2007 Professional, which includes:

  • Excel
  • Access
  • PowerPoint
  • InfoPath
  • Outlook
  • Publisher
  • Project
  • SharePoint Designer
  • Visio

Research Software

To facilitate the data collection necessary for the projects occurring within the McIntire School of Commerce, the following research software is provided to the McIntire faculty, staff, and students (via the Rouss & Robertson labs):

  • Crystal Ball
  • Research Insight
  • SDC Platinum
  • StockVal

Analytical Software

Members of the McIntire community must frequently analyze business data in their studies. As a result, McIntire provides the following analytical software:

  • SPSS 17
  • Construx Estimate 2.0
  • Dundas Evaluation
  • MegaStat Excel Plug-In

Educational Software

Some McIntire classes make use of educational software such as Trading Technologies' stock trading simulation software. These programs are available in the Rouss & Robertson labs where classes using this software are held.
