**The University of Virginia's budget for living expenses is set by the Board of Visitors. Rent and utility figures are calculated for a single student sharing a two-bedroom apartment. This budget does not include allowances for car payments, undergraduate debt, or consumer and other types of personal debt. The budget for typical living costs is expected to increase by approximately 3% for 2013-2014.
