Admissions Checklist

The following checklist is provided to help you progress through the admissions process.

Step 1:

Select one or more methods to research the M.S. in MIT Program.

Step 2:

Help us get to know you. Our admissions committee takes a holistic approach to evaluating your application, so it is important to present a well-rounded view of your academics, work experiences, and motivation.

  • Complete and submit the online application form, including resume, essays, and two letters of recommendation from business associates who know your work and management capabilities.
  • Schedule and complete an admissions interview. Contact Matthew J. Miller, Assistant Director of Graduate Marketing & Admissions, for details at msmit@virginia.edu.
  • Submit official copies of your transcripts from every college or university you have attended.
  • If applicable, submit a course-by-course, English-translated transcript evaluation from a company listed on www.naces.org.
  • If applicable, submit TOEFL or IELTS or request a waiver. TOEFL Code: 5829
  • OPTIONAL:  submit an official GMAT or GRE score. GMAT Code: KC7-K3-50
