The summer session meets the first Wednesday after the U.Va. graduation ceremonies. Please see the detailed schedule of classes for the summer session.

Location

Instruction is held in University of Virginia classrooms. Rouss and Robertson Halls, which house the McIntire School, are located on the Central Grounds of the University, part of the historic Lawn area.

As with the two-year McIntire program, MBI students have access to state-of-the-art technologies at Rouss and Roberston Halls:

  • Cutting-edge information retrieval and analytical tools used in the Moneyline Telerate Center for Financial Markets, in both the Julian H. Robertson, Jr. Capital Markets Room and the Chesapeake Capital Trading Room.

  • Creative digital multimedia tools available in the Digital Media Center.

  • Access to McIntire computer labs

Attendance Policy

Students are expected to attend all the MBI sessions and to participate in classroom discussions. To receive a certificate of completion, you must attend all of the sessions for each section, which include accounting, career services, finance, management, marketing, and information technology.

Certificate of Completion

The MBI is not offered for academic credit, nor do participants receive grades. However, to receive a certificate of completion, a participant must pass examinations and complete all assignments required by the faculty. Students whose participation is exceptional receive awards of outstanding achievement.
