Adding Value to Your Undergraduate Education
The McIntire Business Institute, offered by the McIntire School of Commerce Foundation, is an intensive, high-value program that delivers fundamental knowledge of business theory and practice to those with little or no business background. This outstanding program provides sound preparation for careers in business and industry, and may also serve as a useful first step in exploring post-graduation business studies.
Participants who complete the course of study receive a certificate of completion, and students whose participation is exceptional receive awards of outstanding achievement.
Eligibility
MBI is open to students and graduates of the University of Virginia and other institutions of higher learning.

Academic Year Program
(Application Deadline June 15)
Offered August - April, with January-term classes
Meets every Friday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Summer Program
(Application Deadline April 15)
Offered May - June
Meets Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
