Globalization, Innovation, and Technology Management

2008 International Executive Program

May 4-9, 2008    Copenhagen, Denmark

There is no question that the themes of globalization, innovation, and technology management are becoming integrated in profound ways. As a result, today’s managers must capture an entirely new set of knowledge and skills in order to thrive in this new world.

This one-week international executive program offered by the McIntire School of Commerce is designed to immerse participants in a week of learning and networking in one of the most exciting regions of the world for innovation, creativity, and design. The curriculum includes interaction with European business leaders; site visits to the Danish Design Centre, Tivoli, the Zentropa Movie Production Company, Carlsberg Brewery, and the Copenhagen Business School; as well as other networking and cultural events.

Read about Jeffrey Mangis' (A&S ’87, M.S. in Architecture ’92, M.S. in MIT ’06) experiences during the 2007 International Executive Program to Copenhagen and the recent article from the July/August 2006 BizEd magazine titled At Home with European Business, which highlights the value of international executive programs.

“It’s a flat world … and therein lies a tale of technology and
geoeconomics that is fundamentally reshaping our lives—
much, much more quickly than many people realize.”
–Thomas Friedman

“This was a fabulous experience. The mix of executives, professors, government leaders, and politicians was just right; my eyes were really opened in just one week.”                  Dan Holohan, AOL, MS MIT 2005, and  2007 participant
