Mock Interviews: Employer-in-Residence Program

The Employer-in-Residence Program brings employers on Grounds throughout each semester to offer you experience with the interviewing process through mock interviews. Just a few past employer participants include Capital One, American Management Systems, SNL Financial, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. 

Mock interviews simulate actual interviewing conditions, providing experience with the interviewing process and developing interviewing skills. Mock interviews usually last 45 minutes, with the majority of the time allocated to the practice interview session. During the remaining time, the interviewer provides feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of your interviewing style.

This program provides valuable one-on-one interaction with employers. Commerce Career Services staff members are also available to take on the role of prospective employer and conduct mock interviews. 

Commerce Career Services strongly encourages McIntire students to take advantage of this program to prepare for the internship and career search process. 

How to Participate
McIntire students who are interested in participating in this program should stop by Monroe Hall 102 or call 434-924-7986 to sign up for an available timeslot on the mock interview schedule. Commerce Career Services is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
