Commerce Career Services strongly
encourages students to attend the
career- and job search-related
programs and workshops
scheduled throughout the school
year, and to make an appointment
with a career counselor to discuss
career exploration and job search
strategies. In addition to these
important resources, Commerce
Career Services offers:
- A series of informational handouts available below and in the Commerce Career Services suite (Rouss & Robertson Halls, Room 407)
- A career resource library in Rouss & Robertson Halls, Room 407, focused on careers that complement Commerce disciplines
- Protected online resources (McIntire login required), including:
- Comprehensive guides to various industry, career, and company information
- Access to the UVA alumni database
- Our annual Destinations Report, which provides job and internship placement information for McIntire students
- A career section customized for our international student population
- Diversity resources
- Links to numerous non-UVA job and internship search sites
- Global Focus U (Register and create an account, answer profile questions, and upload your resume for diverse, quality career/internship opportunities.)
- Links to companies offering management/leadership/rotational programs
Note: The University’s primary resource center for comprehensive career-related research is located in University Career Services, Bryant Hall, at Scott Stadium. The UCS Career Resource Library provides books on self-assessment, career management, career information, and job-search strategies; directories of firms organized by location, industry, and/or function; information on graduate school programs, fellowships, and financial aid; and books and directories of summer internship opportunities.
