Special considerations exist for international students seeking employment outside of their country of origin. Most importantly, students need to ensure that that they are fully educated about their legal status and adhere to all regulations related to employment and immigration. Although many students ultimately secure employment in the United States, the job search is often challenging, and patience, perseverance, and a willingness to explore opportunities in other locations are recommended. Begin your job search early, attend career-related workshops and programs whenever possible, and schedule an appointment with a Commerce Career Services counselor.
