Center for Business Analytics

The Center for Business Analytics serves as McIntire’s organizational hub for analytics-related initiatives. Enhancing curricula across the School, CBA engages in industry-oriented research with corporate partners and local small businesses, supporting students through case competitions, an analytics club, and enrichment at industry conferences. CBA also organizes workshops, including its annual Business Analytics Colloquium, which highlights state-of-the-art analytics, showcases the School's strong industry partners, and provides students with the opportunity learn more about exciting data analytics career opportunities.

Center for Investors and Financial Markets

The Center for Investors and Financial Markets supports the purposeful exchange of ideas around finance through faculty research, curriculum innovation, and scholarly and professional outreach. The Center’s focus is to promote a core mission of advancing study and teaching that emphasize creativity in the practice of corporate finance and investing. Striving to promote understanding about the investor community and the performance and structure of financial markets, CIFM fosters collaborative relationships among faculty, students, finance professionals, and policymakers.

Center for Global Commerce

The Center for Global Commerce leads the planning and implementation of a sustained, integrative, and global strategy for the McIntire School. By supporting faculty in the development of international curriculum and globally positioned courses, including study-abroad programs, the Center fosters international research opportunities, actively encourages and funds global scholarship, and plays a primary role in facilitating relationships with global business enterprises, international academic institutions, visiting professors, and alumni throughout the world.

Center for the Management of IT

Established in 1991, the McIntire School of Commerce's Center for the Management of Information Technology provides opportunities for business and academia to collaborate on research and development related to IT. CMIT provides support for high-impact research projects by McIntire faculty and has sponsored more than 100 programs to date, including the annual Knowledge Continuum, the Center’s highly regarded lifelong learning event that hosts internationally recognized industry speakers each year. In addition to supporting research and programs in IT systems and technology, CMIT provides practitioners with access to McIntire faculty and students.

Galant Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship

The Galant Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship encourages, educates, and empowers students—past and present—to take on roles in the startup community that create positive impact and lasting value in the global marketplace. By developing and supporting courses in startup-related initiatives, pitch competitions, speaker events, travel-based experiences, and student-focused organizations such as Entrepreneurship Group at UVA, Forge, and the Virginia Venture Fund, the Galant Center seeks to catalyze entrepreneurial activity not only within the McIntire School, but also across and beyond the Grounds of the University of Virginia.

PwC Center for Innovation in Professional Services

The PwC Center for Innovation in Professional Services aims to advance the collective knowledge of the professional services industry by sponsoring in-depth, faculty-driven programs during the academic year. Through student-focused educational events, the Center engages the McIntire learning community and professionals interested in sharing best practices in the field; the Center also promotes relevant program outcomes to a broader audience. From expert guest speaker sessions to facilitated panel discussions, the Center sponsors programmatic initiatives wholly integrated into the McIntire curriculum that also serve as supplemental student learning experiences.

The Center exists to build bridges and to support the exchange of knowledge about real estate and the built environment. Established in 2021, the Center creates and supports collaborative and cross-Grounds programming for its stakeholders that promote new understanding of real estate markets and their connections to society through the built environment. Endeavoring to enhance the real estate experience at UVA for students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners, it pursues its mission through academic program support, research, and alumni outreach.
