Synopsis:
CMIT members are invited to McIntire's
annual Spring Symposium titled "Leading in a Connected World".
The program will feature McIntire professor Rob Cross and a
panel of experts. See a complete program description
here.
Following the Symposium, CMIT will host its
own program, "The Economics of Innovation in a Connected
World: Managing to Improve Net Value," featuring
Michael
Schrage.
As global competition increases and
customers grow more demanding, the pressure to productively
innovate and differentiate intensifies. Organizations need to
rethink how they invest in and manage innovation. The rise of
digital media and the connected world fundamentally transform
the economics of innovation for both individuals and
enterprises. Drawing upon examples ranging from Apple to Tesco
to Procter & Gamble, the role digital models, prototypes and
simulations can - and should - play in 'innovation risk
management' will be the focus of sessions' talk and workshop.
