Speaker: Richard Bizar

Rich Bizar is in his third career.  Rich started with the U.S. Coast Guard where he served twenty-one years.  His expertise was in Maritime Safety and Environmental Protection.  Rich also worked in Planning and Special Projects where he handled the Program Budget of $60m and coordinated resources and regulatory activities.  He retired in 1983 to assume the job as Vice President for Administration at SUNY Maritime College, where he in fact had graduated. There he ran the administrative activities for sixteen years.  Included in his responsibilities was campus computing and technology. This is where he became familiar with Information Technology and was able to plan for the College’s hardware and Software needs.

Rich retired from the College in 1999 to start his own consulting business.  As luck would have it, his first client took all of his time and so he decided to go with Xybernaut and he moved from New York to Virginia this June. At Xybernaut, Rich is Director of Business Development where he seeks out business relationships for the company.  Rich also works on special projects and adds his administrative talents when they are needed.  He received his Masters from George Washington University and holds a U.S. Cost Guard License as a Merchant Marine Officer.
