Areas of Expertise:

Professor Jansen specializes in management, with teaching and research in the fields of organizational change and strategic human resource management. Her change research broadly explores the process and impact of change on an organization’s employees. Her recent research focuses on how change processes gain, sustain, and lose momentum over time. Her person-environment fit research examines how perceptions of fit change and evolve over time.

Professional Activities:

Professor Jansen’s research has appeared in Academy of Management Review; Organization ScienceOrganizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes; and Journal of Applied Psychology. She is an associate editor for The Journal of Applied Behavioral Science. She served as an elected member of the Organizational Development and Change Division of the Academy of Management from 2006 to 2008. Before becoming an academic, Professor Jansen worked for IBM as a systems engineer.
