Areas of Expertise:

Professor Croll has taught in both financial and managerial accounting areas. His professional expertise is in cost control and budgeting, where he has published and acted as a consultant for more than 20 years. Currently he has been working in the financial accounting area, specifically in developing and teaching intermediate accounting with a new, innovative approach.

Professional Activities:

Professor Croll is a member of the American Accounting Association and the managerial section of the American Accounting Association. He was the recipient of the 1997 American Accounting Association's award for Innovations in Accounting Education. The innovation was titled "A Business Activity Model for Intermediate Accounting." He has published in Accounting Review and other accounting and finance publications. He has worked with the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, the Institute of Textile Technology, Aramco, the Oil Company of Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. Navy.
