Areas of Expertise:

Mr. Koenig specializes in entrepreneurship, technology staffing and organizational development, building high-performance business systems, and educational services. As the assistant dean for graduate programs, he has final responsibility for all graduate business operations and services. As an entrepreneur, he has business start-up experience as employee number four at Logictier Inc., a Silicon Valley-based Internet infrastructure company. Beginning in 1999, Mr. Koenig was a key member of the early Logictier team that created and implemented a business plan that resulted in acquiring over $90 million in equity and $77 million debt financing from venture capital firms such as Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, Technology Crossover Ventures, Accel Partners, Integral Capital Partners, and Lehman Brothers Venture Partners. He spearheaded the planning and implementation of a national staffing effort that took the company from four employees to 220 employees in 20 months. As the director of Corporate Staffing and Human Resources, Mr. Koenig focused his management efforts on the strategic growth of this technical and engineering organization, ensuring that recruiting efforts remained tied directly to business necessities, were executed within planned budgets, and provided the company with appropriate human and technical resources to meet diverse and increasing customer needs across the country. 

Before joining Logictier, Mr. Koenig was the senior manager for Professional Education at the Stanford Center for Professional Development, where he spearheaded the development and distribution of leading-edge full-streaming video short courses to a national audience over the award-winning Stanford Online technology. Before joining the Stanford University School of Engineering, Mr. Koenig was a program director and general faculty member at the University of Virginia School for Continuing Studies’ Center for Executive Development, where he built collaborative relationships with state and national agencies, corporations, businesses, universities, non-profit organizations, and national associations and developed and managed customized education and training programs to meet client needs in the United States and overseas.

Professional Activities:

Mr. Koenig is currently an active member of the American Association of Chartered Business Schools, the University Continuing Education Association, and the University’s Colonnade Club Board of Governors.
