Areas of Expertise:

Professor Ruppel has interests in how decision processes are carried out by individuals and organizations. In addition, he studies the roles of statistics and graphical aids to decision making.

Professional Activities:

Professor Ruppel is a feature editor for Decision Line, the newsletter of the Decision Sciences Institute. He also is a member of the Central Virginia Roundtable for the Council for Logistics Management. He has served with the U.S. Army, NASA, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (with diplomatic rank).
