M.S. in the Management of Information Technology

McIntire's Master of Science in the Management of Information Technology program has been recognized as a leader in developing technology-savvy business decision makers. By understanding how current and emerging technologies can best be applied to make their organizations more profitable, productive, and competitive, McIntire graduates are well-positioned to face the challenges of management in the 21st century.

  • Exceptionally talented student body from a wide range of industries and functional areas of expertise who bring an average of 13 years of working experience, including significant managerial or technical responsibilities on an IT project, product line, or program.

  • Outstanding faculty dedicated to teaching and to bringing the corporate perspective into the classroom through speakers, case studies, and hands-on experience. 

  • Executive format that allows working professionals to remain on the job and complete the degree either in 12 months by attending classes once-a-month over a long weekend (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) in Charlottesville, Va., or in 16 months by attending class every other Saturday in Reston, Va. (convenient to Washington, D.C., and Dulles International Airport).
