 M.S. in Commerce

Transform Your Talents into Tangible Assets

As a talented liberal arts, science, or engineering major, you have acquired an array of transferrable skills. The M.S. in Commerce Program at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce will transform your talents into tangible, career-enhancing assets.

McIntire’s innovative Integrated Core Experience (ICE) forms the foundation of the 40-credit-hour master’s degree. This carefully crafted set of courses provides an enterprise-wide view of business while helping you develop the analytic, strategic, and executive communication skills needed to tackle complex real-world business problems.

One of the distinguishing benefits of the M.S. in Commerce Program is the opportunity to augment your master’s in management with a concentration in Business Analytics, Finance, or Marketing & Management. Concentrations offer 15 credit hours of specialization that provide you with a competitive and focused advantage in the marketplace.

The McIntire School of Commerce understands that business is global. Through the M.S. in Commerce Program you will develop a deeper understanding of how business is conducted within a global context.  The program culminates with a month-long Global Immersion Experience (GIE), through which you will explore of the economic, social, and cultural dynamics impacting global organizations within a particular region of the world.
