McIntire Alumnae Invited to Join Ivy Society

March 26, 2004—Are you a McIntire alumna looking to enhance the unique experiences of women and their work-life balance, including your own? Consider joining the Ivy Society, a newly formed group of McIntire alumnae dedicated to this goal through networking, mentoring women Comm students, and philanthropy.

"In response to the increasing requests from McIntire alumnae for networking opportunities, McIntire will coordinate events in cities with large concentrations of alumnae," says Director of Annual Programs and Special Projects Katie Whittier. "We'll also offer opportunities on Grounds in conjunction with events such as Reunions and Homecoming."

McIntire alumnae are interested in mentoring and philanthropy, Whittier adds. "Mentoring women students will create more confident and connected alumnae. They'll have an edge in the business world and realize the importance of a women's network," she says. "And, through philanthropic acts, Society members will increase the well-being of the McIntire community and promote alumnae welfare. The Ivy Society gives women the opportunity to support the School as a group, creating a powerful voice and lasting presence."
