School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
New scandals, downturns, and disasters...how are business leaders and
consumers responding? Author Patricia Aburdene (Megatrends 2010)
discusses the rise and impact of conscious capitalism.
Patricia Aburdene is a world-renowned speaker, author, and architect of
corporate transformation. Having won recognition as coauthor of the
Megatrends books, Patricia embarked on new studies integrating
business research and spirituality. She now inspires audiences with a
concrete blueprint of how values, consciousness, and leadership will
heal today’s economic crisis.
Her new book, Megatrends 2010: The Rise of Conscious Capitalism,
was published in September 2005. Patricia coauthored with John Naisbitt
the New York Times number one bestseller Megatrends 2000,
the bestselling Re-Inventing the Corporation, and Megatrends
for Women. Megatrends topped bestseller charts worldwide.
Collectively, her books have sold more than 14 million copies worldwide.
Aburdene has lectured throughout United States, Canada, Europe, South
America, Australia, and the Pacific Rim. Clients include the Management
Club of Vienna, the Professional Coach and Mentor Association, the
Management Institute of New Zealand, and the Consciousness in Business
conference in Santa Fe, N.M.
Patricia Aburdene’s 25-year career in business journalism began at
Forbes magazine in 1978. As a Public Policy Fellow at Radcliffe
College, Cambridge, Mass., from 1993 to 1996, she explored emerging
leadership models.
Aburdene holds a bachelor’s in philosophy from Newton College of the
Sacred Heart, a bachelor’s in library science from Catholic University,
and four honorary doctorates. In 1990, she was awarded the Medal of
Italy for her interpretation of global trends. She lives in Telluride,
Colo., and Cambridge, Mass.
