Nov. 9, 2007—As McIntire prepares to move into our new academic complex on the Lawn for the spring 2008 semester, construction on the complex is entering the final stages. Finished flooring is installed in the 500-level Dean’s Suite offices and the 400-level shared classrooms, which are being touched up and completed. The Commerce Career Services offices and student reading room are in the process of having ceiling grid installed, which will be followed by lighting, doors and hardware, and painting. The faculty offices, computer spaces, and mailboxes on the 300 level are substantially complete, with carpeting in the offices and painting under way. Paint is being touched up in the classrooms, the majority of which are located on the 200 level; the blackboards are being adjusted and the audiovisual equipment installed as well. The 100-level graduate classrooms are in progress, with the ceiling grid beginning at the end of October and the finishing under way in the graduate lounge and offices.
