Leading corporations bring live cases, vital real-world knowledge to students and faculty

McIntire thanks the corporations that are this year’s sponsors of the School’s innovative third-year curriculum, the Integrated Core Experience (ICE). The four corporate sponsors—Dominion, Kimberly-Clark, Procter & Gamble, and The Dow Chemical Company—are integrally involved in all aspects of this revolutionary curriculum.

Just one example of this extraordinary commitment occurred Sept. 17, 2002, when the senior executive team from Dominion Resources met with students and faculty for an exciting exchange of ideas in the Dome Room of the Rotunda. Thos. E. Capps, Chairman and CEO, led the discussion. Other Dominion participants included Thomas Chewning, CFO, and Thomas Farrell II (A&S ’76, Law ’79), CEO of Dominion Energy and also a member of the University Board of Visitors.

“We very much appreciate the major contribution ICE sponsors make to McIntire,” says Associate Director of Corporate Relations Allison Teweles. “Their sponsorship is the highest level of participation in the partners program. By providing our students with live cases, bringing world-class practitioners to McIntire, and sharing their vital real-world knowledge of business practice, ICE sponsors provide our students with a competitive advantage unparalleled in undergraduate business education.”
