Theodore Chandler ’74 is President and COO of Richmond, Va.-based LandAmerica Financial Group. He joined LandAmerica in 2000 and has served as COO since 2002.

Peter Dunne ’80, President of Franklin/Trade Graphics and a member of the McIntire School Advisory Board, and his wife, Carmen, have two sons, Christopher and Kelly. The family lives in Davie, Fla.

Michael Wildish ’82 is a Managing Director for New York-based Miller Buckfire Lewis Ying & Co. LLC, leading the M&A advisory business. MBLY was formed in July 2002, when the financial restructuring group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein spun off as an independent entity. The firm has successfully restructured more than $160 billion in debt, advised on more than 100 M&A transactions valued at more than $15 billion, and advised on financings involving more than $18 billion. Wildish is also a member of the McIntire School Advisory Board.

Bill Evanow ’83 and Allison Evanow (A&S ’86) welcomed their first children, twin boys, Jackson Addison and Alexander Crowell, born March 16, 2004. Bill is Vice President of Sales with Concerto Software. The couple resides in Novato, Calif.

Janet L. Brocklehurst ’85 is a Partner in Goodman & Company’s Richmond, Va., office.

Susan Mattwell Fiacco ’85 is Senior Director of High Performance Technologies Inc., a technology services consulting firm headquartered in Reston, Va. She recently received the firm’s annual partner’s award for excellence. Fiacco resides with her husband and children in Ellicott City, Md.

Joseph M. Squeri ’87 was promoted and elected to the position of Executive Vice President and CFO of Silver Spring, Md.-based Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH) by the company’s board of directors. Squeri previously was Senior Vice President, Development and CFO. Choice Hotels is “one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, marketing more than 5,000 hotels open or under development in 44 countries.” (Read the press release.)

Clifford Blau (Master’s in Accounting ’88) is semi-retired and enjoying his free time, doing some writing.

Richard Coughlan ’89 is Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Director of the MBA program at the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business (Richmond, Va.). He has served on the university’s faculty since 1998, teaching courses in business ethics and negotiations.

Shawn David Adler ’90 and Cynthia Lee Adler (A&S ’90) had their second daughter, Rachel Anne, Oct. 2, 2003. The family resides in Reston, Va.

Joseph M. Kelly ’90 has published his first book, Fire of God, a religious allegory set in the distant future.

Melissa Covert Snelson ’90 and her husband, Jamie, welcomed their second son, Charles Elias, Aug. 21, 2003. Charlie joins his big brother, Sam. They reside in the Twin Cities (Minnesota), where Melissa is a Partner with Stonehill Group LLP, serving as an expert witness in commercial litigation matters.

David Lee Moss ’91 and his wife, Janet, had their third child, Nathan “Nate” Charles, Dec. 28, 2003. Nate joins siblings Hannah and Theo. Moss is Director of Media Strategy for PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. The family resides in Taplow, England.

Lee Anne Ritter ’92 (Darden ’99) and Andrew Ritter (Darden ’99) had their first child, Todd Conrad, Nov. 22, 2003. He is the grandson of C. Willis Ritter (Law ’65). The family resides in Vienna, Va.

Kristen Papenfus Vietmeyer ’92 and her husband, Robert, had their second child, Kara Elizabeth, July 5, 2003. Kara joins a 3-year-old sister, Kate. The family resides in Oakton, Va.

Talar Khatchmanian Linder ’96 and her husband, Geoff, had their first child, Reed Thomas, Sept. 23, 2003. The family resides in Memphis, Tenn.

Melanie Short Gutierrez ’97 and her husband, Guillermo, joyfully announce the birth of their son, Nicolas, born Nov. 17, 2003. Melanie is the Director of Institutional Sales for First Mercantile Trust Company, a division of National Commerce Financial, and has recently been admitted to Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. The family currently resides in Miami.

Amy Savitsky ’97 graduated with a master’s degree in communications (producing film and video) from American University in May 2004. She is in the process of completing her thesis film, “TOXIC,” with plans for festival entry in 2005. Amy is currently employed as the Content Development Coordinator at the Discovery Health Channel in Silver Spring, Md.

Daniel Odio ’98 recently started www.RebateReps.com, a nationwide rebate realtor firm. Daniel’s firm was featured on the Discovery Channel show “Double Agents” in December 2003.

Carryn Weigand Owens ’99 (Education ’00) married Ryan Owens March 6, 2004, in Fort Myer, Va. She continues to do contract work for the intelligence community and now lives in San Diego, where Ryan is stationed as a Navy SEAL.

Ron Hedlund (Master’s in MIS ’01), in March 2002, while working full time as Chief of Staff at the State Council of Higher Education, co-founded AIS Industrial Services, a Richmond-based industrial apparatus repair firm that grosses more than $1 million annually and now has nine employees in addition to its two owner/members. In September 2002, Hedlund left SCHEV to work full time at AIS. The company services and repairs electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, industrial breakers, and switchgear, and its primary customer base consists of industrial manufacturing concerns in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Jeanine B. White (Master’s in MIS ’01) and Russell E. Lundeberg Jr. (Master’s in MIS ’01) were married June 11, 2004, at St. Columba’s Chapel in Middletown, R.I., with a reception following at Rosecliff in Newport, R.I. Jeanine and Russell met while receiving their master’s of management information systems degrees.

Josh Caplan ’03, a Peace Corps Volunteer in Grenada until 2005, has been elected Volunteer Advisory Council Representative for the island, serving as the liaison between individual volunteers and Peace Corps staff and administration. He also joined the Spice Isle Optimist Club of Grenada, where he is the Director of Fellowship and Programs and will be the Vice President of Internal Programs for the 2004-2005 year.

Rob Ericsson (A&S ’93; Master’s in MIT ’03) recently had his first book published: Building Business Intelligence Applications with .NET (Charles River Media, February 2004). (Read more here.)

Ron Evans (Master’s in MIT ’04) was recently promoted to Senior Technical Director at America Online. Ron’s responsibilities include AOL corporate telecom engineering and asset management.
