Job Responsibilities: 

Position Summary

A Decision Sciences Manager will be responsible for driving key development activities associated with our Digital practice as it relates to marketing analytics in the media sector. This person will work with clients and peers to drive the strategic vision of our digital analytics practices. The ideal candidate must be able to proactively communicate ideas and opportunities, build strong relationships with internal and external partners, and will be responsible for the growth and development of an analytics team.


Essential Functions


Ability to provide meaningful insights to team and clients, particularly in the web space
Defines analytic program needs and recommends proper analytical methodologies to execute against these programs
Owns client and partner relationships, helps drive strategy, measurement methodologies, and learning plans across IPG Mediabrands Insights and working closely with the fellow IPG agencies
Directly manages a team of Associate Analysts through Sr. Analysts and is responsible for their growth and development

Data Management

Leverage a variety of tools to deliver rapid-response data mining and insights, while also working on large, multifaceted analysis
Develop methodologies for aggregating results from various programs and campaigns
Ability to design and implement technical measurement requirements for our analytics platform, Adobe Analytics


Develop client reporting including the creation of charts or other visualizations in Excel or other BI system such as Tableau to illustrate campaign performance data
Responsible for performance insights across upper funnel and lower funnel strategies with program-level optimizations
Keen understanding of the data ecosystem to provide support as additional reporting needs arise



Bachelor's degree


Work Experience:

4+ years of experience in marketing or digital analytics, primarily website performance



  • Leadership or management experience in digital marketing
  • Extensive knowledge of web site analytic platforms including Adobe Marking Cloud products (Site Catalyst, Ad-Hoc Analysis) and Google Analytics
  • Background working with one or more BI/analysis software packages, such as Tableau, required
  • Must have strong project management skills and be able to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Must have a strong business analysis and analytical skills
  • Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly accountable self-starter with the ability to work well within a group, as well as independently
