Job Responsibilities: 

The Product Marketing Manager is passionate about applying consumer insights, operational expertise, and organizational knowledge to cross-functionally oversee communications and go-to-market product planning for “Ready to Drink” products at La Colombe Coffee Roasters. The purpose of the role is to empower sales and marketing teams (both internal and external) with the tools and knowledge needed to meet/exceed sales goals.  


  • Primary point of contact for Sales/Marketing department for requests regarding new concepts, projects, products and packaging. Primary marketing point of contact for manufacturing/operations
  • Lead product strategy, responsible for making business cases for new and existing products within the brand architecture and company vision
  • Project manage commercialization process and publication of item information essential to trade classes
  • Champion of consumer + product experience and feedback loop (qualitative + quantitative)
  • Manage growing portfolio of branded packaging materials, timelines, and artwork versioning
  • Develop sales, customer service, and marketing tools that support the marketing of products
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and come up with solutions to solve and eliminate before they happen
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on project timelines with regard to broader organizational calendars across sales channels and retail categories
  • Represent the consumer and in-market brand purpose throughout cross-functional projects
  • Ensure Product Marketing initiatives and communications are consistent with strategy, including the value proposition of the products and how they relate to target community
  • Actively communicate with cross-functional leadership and upper management on providing direction of projects and making recommendations for commercial progress
  • Lead by example to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams supporting the brand to exceed high performance targets
  • Work with QA, R&D as project lead on all product-specific certifications (organic, non-GMO, etc.)
  • Understands both consumer marketing and product sales fundamentals
  •  Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders and teams
  • Operates effectively in a fast-paced demanding environment-highly flexible
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships that benefit the brand
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and professional maturity
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Strong strategic, analytical orientation and experience with IRI, Nielsen, SPINS
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Operates effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment/highly flexible
  • Excels in project management across multiple business functions
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships across functional groups
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency
  • Energized by an entrepreneurial environment and not afraid to take initiative
  • Comfortable making decisions with limited information and resources
  • Excellent project management skills and understanding of stage gate processes
  • IRI/Nielsen familiarity
  • Food production product management a plus, but not required
  • Highly efficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
