About me:
Hello Wahoos! My name is Andrew Cabalu, and I’m a third-year student at the McIntire School of Commerce. I’m concentrating in Finance and Management and minoring in Psychology through the College of Arts & Sciences. Outside of the classroom, I’m very involved in my fraternity and Enactus (a student consulting group at UVA), and you can always find me at every UVA home football and basketball game.
I’m originally from Arlington, VA (just outside of D.C.), and I’m a HUGE D.C. sports fan (Washington Football Team is bringing the Lombardi Trophy home this year--heard it here first). Some of my favorite things to do include going on hikes in the Blue Ridge mountains, playing golf with friends on Saturday afternoons, and listening to electronic dance music.
Being a member of the McIntire community has definitely had a positive impact on my college experience. The inclusiveness of my peers and the faculty’s commitment to student development have opened up many new doors for me to grow academically and professionally. At the end of the day, I believe it’s the comradery of everyone at McIntire that makes it special. Whether I’m working on an Integrated Core project with my group or winning a kickball tournament with my block (shout out Block 3), I always feel a connection with the people at McIntire. As a student ambassador, I hope to help prospective students join our enriching community.
McIntire’s Office of Undergraduate Admission collaborates with prospective B.S. in Commerce students, helping in a variety of ways.
We encourage prospective students to contact us early in the admissions process to take advantage of all of our advising opportunities, including academic advising, information sessions, and other events, or to connect with a student ambassador.
