Hi! My name is Samia, and I am a third-year at UVA originally from the suburbs of Chicago. I am majoring in Commerce, with Finance and Accounting concentrations, and also pursuing a minor in Art History. I am in the Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, Alternative Investment Fund, One Thousand Schools (raising money to build schools in Honduras), College Mentors for Kids, and Virginia Finance Institute. I also host at a local restaurant and enjoy hiking, traveling, workout classes, playing tennis, and learning to cook in my free time. Last summer, I interned at a hedge fund and plan to intern in New York next summer, which I am very excited about doing. So far in my McIntire experience, I have enjoyed meeting new people. I look forward to meeting more people and attending more events throughout the school year, and am super excited to be an ambassador this year!
