About me:
Hi! My name is Tara Vasanth, and I’m a third-year at McIntire concentrating in Information Technology and Management, with a track in Business Analytics.
During my first two years at UVA, I spent time exploring my interests through different activities. One of my main involvements was Madison House volunteering. I enjoy mentoring and working with kids, and I was a part of the Cavs in the Classroom and Hoos Helping Hoos programs. I’m also a big advocate for mental well-being, and I served as a member of the Academic and Mental Wellness Committee through Second Year Council. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, hiking, trying new places to eat, and playing with my dog (Ollie).
One thing I love about McIntire is the structure of the Integrated Core curriculum. We are exposed to many areas of business, which makes class interesting and different every day. I also have seven different Integrated Core professors throughout the semester, which is something I’ve never experienced! I also like the emphasis on group work because it creates a very collaborative and energetic environment.
I look forward to connecting and helping you with your path to McIntire!
Fun fact: I’m a major foodie and always down to go to Taco Bell, Krispy Kreme, and Cookout!
