Healthcare spending accounts for 18% of U.S. GDP, yet the complex, fragmented industry remains poorly understood. Despite criticisms of the cost of care and shortcomings on some measures relative to other countries, the United States leads in breakthroughs in areas such as the treatment and management of cancer and rare diseases, and is home to numerous globally respected medical institutions. Join expert panelists to discuss innovations in this field, the evolving policy environment, and how investors consider these and other factors when deciding whether to commit capital. Network with other professionals and UVA alumni before and after the panel discussion, which begins at 7:00 p.m.
