Entrepreneurs in the UVA community:
Pitch for up to $1 Million in the Sixth Annual Galant Challenge
Entrepreneurs in the UVA community are invited to register for the Galant Challenge, UVA's premier start-up event connecting select UVA-affiliated seed- and early-stage ventures with potential investors. Join us!
Who: UVA students, faculty, staff, and alumni who are founders or members of the start-up’s management team are all eligible to apply.
What: A minimum of three teams will be selected to present live to a panel of potential investors at the Sixth Annual Galant Challenge.
When/Where: This year's Galant Challenge will be held the evening of April 26 at UVA's McIntire School of Commerce.
Why: In the past few years alone, the event has connected ventures with more than $1.5 million in capital!
How: Each submission should include a short PowerPoint describing your concept in roughly 10 slides. Check out Guy Kawasaki’s 10-20-30 approach. Each submission should also be accompanied by a one minute "elevator pitch” video; cell phone footage is perfectly appropriate.
The submission deadline for the Galant Challenge is March 26. Email submissions to McIntire Professor Eric Martin, Director of McIntire's Galant Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Visit http://www.galantchallenge.org/ for more information. If you are an active angel investor interested in supporting UVA-affiliated ventures, please contact Eric Martin to get involved.
