Professional Activities: 

Professor Sarker teaches a wide range of courses, including telecommunications and networking, emergent technologies, IS for managers, and systems analysis and design.

On the research front, her publications have appeared in outlets such as MIS QuarterlyInformation Systems ResearchJournal of Management Information SystemsJournal of the Association of Information SystemsDecision SciencesEuropean Journal of Information SystemsDecision Support Systems; and Information Systems Journal, among others. She also served as the principal investigator of a National Science Foundation grant awarded to study work–life balance in globally distributed software development teams and is the associate editor for Decision Sciences Journal and Communications of the AIS. She also serves as an associate editor for MIS Quarterly and was named Outstanding Associate Editor for the journal in 2016. She will serve as senior editor for MIS Quarterly  effective Jan. 1, 2017.
