Professor Sarker teaches a wide range of courses, including emergent technologies, IS strategy for managers, sourcing, and telecommunications and networking.
On the research front, her publications have appeared in outlets such as MIS Quarterly; Information Systems Research; Journal of Management Information Systems; Journal of the Association of Information Systems; Decision Sciences; European Journal of Information Systems; Decision Support Systems; and Information Systems Journal, among others. She also served as the principal investigator of a National Science Foundation grant awarded to study work–life balance in globally distributed software development teams. In the past, she has served as an associate editor at MIS Quarterly; Decision Sciences Journal; and Communications of the AIS and received outstanding associate editor recognition at both MIS Quarterly and Decision Sciences Journal. Since 2017, she has served as senior editor at MIS Quarterly.
