Most memorable class

I really enjoyed Forensic Accounting because this topic has always interested me; after taking the class, I'm even more excited to begin my career in this field.

Leveraging the M.S. in Accounting degree in the workplace

When I first interviewed for the internship that would later become my job, the partner mentioned that he was impressed that I had gone to UVA (undergrad).

Favorite Charlottesville activity

I really like wine tasting (and the scenery/views are absolutely beautiful!).

Advice for future M.S. in Accounting students

Enjoy the experience, spend time with your classmates, and enjoy all that Charlottesville has to offer. You have the rest of your life to work, so enjoy this last bit of time you have to be a student. Also, don't stress about the CPA exam—it’s just another milestone in your long career.

Preparation for professional success and leadership in the workplace

The M.S. in Accounting Program is a well-rounded program that teaches you more than just technical accounting skills.  I developed—and enhanced—many soft skills that will benefit me in the future.
