Why did you choose McIntire? I chose McIntire for its rigorous curriculum and commitment to equipping students with professional skills beyond the technical accounting knowledge needed to pass the CPA exam. I knew I would be challenged and pushed to think critically about the theory that underpins the accounting principles I learned in undergrad. I was also drawn to the program’s emphasis on strengthening communication skills and learning to work more effectively in teams.

What do you enjoy about the program so far? My favorite part of the program has been getting to know my classmates and professors. The opportunities to build strong relationships with fellow students, faculty, and staff abound, creating a supportive and close-knit community that truly sets McIntire apart. I love that the small class sizes give students the ability to get to know everyone in the program.

Fun facts about me: I’m the oldest of three, and this past summer, my siblings and I went on a roadtrip around Iceland together. When we were younger, I taught my sister how to read the summer before she started kindergarten.
