Why did you choose McIntire? When researching graduate schools, I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. However, I had heard about the stellar reputation of McIntire's academics, faculty, and community and decided to visit UVA. After sitting in on a class, meeting with engaging professors, and seeing firsthand the community within the M.S. in Accounting Program, I knew this was the place for me. I was especially impressed by the array of classes offered. I was excited to have the opportunity to focus my studies in tax while exploring other areas of accounting as well.
What do you enjoy about the program so far? I have really enjoyed the people I have met so far! It has been really great to have met people from different academic backgrounds and create new friendships. In addition, I love being part of Charlottesville and UVA as a whole. Charlottesville has an insane amount of great restaurants, live music, and cultural events. I don't think I will ever run out of things to do. UVA students have a lot of pride, and it is great to be part of such a fun, strong community.
Fun facts about me: I am currently training for a half-marathon. I have lived in New York City for the past two summers. I'm determined to try at least one new restaurant in Charlottesville each week.
Hobbies: Running, skiing, hiking, exploring new places, watching “Game of Thrones”
